Binani Cement’s first plant was established in 1997 in Sirohi, Rajasthan. It was initially set up with a capacity of 1.65 million tons per annum (mpta) along with a 25 MW captive power plant with technological support from FL Smidth, Denmark, and Larsen & Toubro Limited. The power plant sources its raw material from two captive limestone mines at Village Amli & Thandiberi. The capacity was raised to 2.25mpta in 2005 and it was doubled to 5.50mpta in 2007 in order to meet the escalating demand of cement. In 2008, a split grinding unit was commissioned at Neem-Ka-Thana, Rajasthan was commissioned which raised the cement capacity to 6.25mpta.
All the plants are ISO 9001:2008, 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified for running effective quality, environment, health and safety management systems within a short span of their commencement. This is an achievement that illustrates our commitment to quality, employee safety and nurturing.
